This movie is when and why I became a Supergirl fan. I know it's campy and could have been better for lots of reasons but personally I love it and that's mainly due to Helen Slater's captivating performace as Kara/Supergirl/Linda Lee. Because of her no one else was able to rent the video out - bacause I always had it. My favourite part is where Kara is testing out her flying for the first time. Say what you want about the rest of the movie but that is a beautifully put together scene. I also like the novel idea of Supergirl going to school with Lucy Lane.
